Evaluation During Reading

Evaluating any material is helpful for developing an interests. When we are determined to read a source we try to encourage ourselves to find it more interesting, but if we don´t read we are exposed to not knowing what is good or what is not. First of all we need to analyze the content, and be selective and determine whether it´s a fact or an opinion. If we are interested with what´s real or what´s not, or maybe what is just imaginative. But how can we prove if its right? You have to learn much more about the topic, and probably you will see how you will control the topic.Analyze the language and determine if its objective or emotional. And also determine if what you are reading is a primary, secundary or even a tertiary source.

The Stranger, Chapter 4 -5 Analysis

Moving forward throughout the story I constantly beleive more on Meursault's incompitance and his response of indifferance towards the world. Meursault couldn't care less on what he's doing or what he is expecting to do in the future. During this part of the book we se that Meursault and Marie are consolidating their relationship, or maybe Marie, as Meursault leds everything pass infront of him without doing anything for it. It feels like Marie doesn't realize that Meursault is a hopeless guy with no interests on expressing his emotions on her.
"She asked me if I loved her. I told her it didn’t mean anything but that I didn’t think so." This quote is an example of how weak this relationship is and how Meursault is taking the role of an average middle class French guy who is ledding time pass buy without realizing it.
As the story passes buy I don't find any relevance in the plot as a whole, I only see a narration of a stage in the life an average guy. In this narration we notice several events that express his personality that are not drastic or surprising for the reader.

The Stranger, Chapter 2 Analysis

Nothing much has happened to Meursault. He continues careing less for his mother's death and is now looking forward to move on with his life as if nothing had happened. He is now home, where we now see new aspects of his life. He is much more social than before as we find out something of his friends. During the weakend he spends some time with Marie Cardona a co-worker and we find out that he has a very good relationship with her. After all there is some importance that he is giving to existance, spending some time with Marie.
In the other hand they mention some of his friends or co- workers, that probably are less incompetent than him. But from his few friends we get to know more of Raymond Sintes. He is Meursault's neighbor, and they both have a similar of responding to society and what surrounds them. I think that they are very similar except for they're way of acting in distinct situations. Meursault is much more calmed and morally correct than Raymond, which is completely amoral, and who could manipulate Meursault taking over his inocense. Meursault is now reminding me of those kinds of people who are tempted to do what they don't want to do to receive personal confidence.
Now it is easier for me as a reader to understand Meursault and his response to the world, but still I don't see myself involved in this way of taking life.

The Stranger, Chapter 1 Analysis

After reading and analyzing the first chapter of The Stranger I found many thoughts and ideas that make this book interesting to any reader that could relate this theme in his society.
This book talks about a guy named Meursault, which is the main character, and that in the begining of the story receives a telegram that says that his mother has died. As drastic as it seems, Mersault feels indifferent about this and does not feel very emotional about it. Mersault arrives to his mother's funeral, and he meets different people that were there for his mother. What is interesting about this is to find how people express their sadness in various forms, and to see how Mersault is the one who can care less about what happened.
"Maman died today. Or yesterday maybe, I don't know." This quote is the perfect example to see the reaction of Meursault in regards to what happened. I personally do not see any expression of love or care of any kind towards the person who gave him the opportunity of living. I can't find my self in this situation, even if something worse could happen. I realize that the reason of all of this is Meursault's indifferance to society and his weakness in this open environment.
